Innis Arden Cottage
In the spring of 2011, the Greenwich Point C (GPC) proudly unveiled the results of a five-year restoration project of the historic Innis Arden Cottage, introducing the Floren Family Environmental Center. In May 2011, the GPC dedicated the newly restored Cottage and generously gifted it to the people of Greenwich for community use. By June 2011, the Floren Family Environmental Center had opened at the Cottage, and the Bruce Museum relocated its Seaside Center to this new facility. The Innis Arden Cottage has since reclaimed its status as one of the most beautiful and historic buildings on the Connecticut waterfront. The Cottage has been honored with an American Institute of Architects award for “Best Historic Restoration and Adaptive Reuse” and a Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation award for excellence in Historic Restoration. Over the past several years, the Innis Arden Cottage has become a cherished landmark within the Greenwich community.
